Hunter's Kindergarten Promotion

The three afternoon Kindergarten classes at Shirley Mann Elementary
Hunter is on the second row he is the second one on the left. I couldn't get any closer and he flash made the picture dark when I zoomed too much.

The last day of Kindergarten...June 2, 2010

Hunter and Mrs. Gripshover

Hunter's Kindergarten Promotion was on our anniversary, June 2, 2010. The kids sang a couple of songs and then received their certificates. Ryan and I were very proud of our big guy!

Memorial Day and the Lost Tooth

Hunter's first loose tooth!

And the tooth is gone!!!

It all started the morning before Memorial Day...Hunter and Reagan were wrestling with Daddy when Hunter got kicked in the mouth by Reagan. Not too hard and there were no tears, but just hard enough to loosen the already loose tooth. Hunter would not leave that tooth alone. Finally the morning of Memorial Day Hunter comes running down the stairs with tooth in hand!

Our neighbors down the street just put in a pool. So we had to be their first guests! The kids had so much fun. Hunter was jumping off the diving board, Reagan ventured off the steps and Carson loved the water. It was a great day for the Helwigs!

Carson and Cereal

Taking that yummy bite!

This is quite the family event.

Is that the look of "Feed me more or I'm full?"

Reagan was very proud of her baby sister!

Carson, being such a big girl, was ready for something other than just a liquid diet. So we started her on cereal. She ate it like a champ! There is no adjustment period for this girl. You would have never known it was her first time to use a spoon!

Hunter's Field Day

Between Hunter and the other little boy...you can tell how this event works.

Good Ol' Texas horseshoes...or is Kentucky?

Not real sure what the athleticism is with this event. Balancing I guess. Looks like fun!

The three Kindergartners against the 5th grader...Those three were no match for the 5th grader!

My big boy!

This one was pretty hard...who knew throwing a ball inside a sock was so hard to get into the basket!?!

Throwing the football through the hoop. He looked just like Dad on this one!

Here is a video of Hunter bouncing the ball.

Hunter had his first field day. They are very different from when I was in school. In fact K-2nd didn't even participate. It was only 3rd-6th. The 5th graders at Hunter's school ran the program. Each 5th grader had 3 kids and they escorted them to each station set up. They did a great job explaining how to do each station and helping the Kindergartners if they needed it. Hunter enjoyed every minute of it!

Uncle Carter and Griffin in Kentucky!!!

I don't know what is cuter...Hunter snuggling Griffin...Griffin looking at Reagan or Reagan posing in her cheerleading outfit!

Happy Birthday Uncle Carter!

The night before Carter and Griffin were leaving, Hunter wrote this note on the white board..."I'm sad that you are going back to Texas." If that isn't a tear jerker!

The Helwig cousins....together again!

The Daddy's with their babies.

There is Little Ryan and Little Carter!

Bye Griffin...I will miss you!

Uncle Carter and Griffin made their first trip out to Kentucky. We had a great time! Griffin and his cousins hadn't seen each other since Feb. 2008. They had so much fun playing. Griffin wanted to hug on Reagan all the time and followed Hunter where ever he went. He is such a good boy. We are so thankful that Carter made the time to come see us and bring his sweet little boy! We love them both so much!!!

We also celebrated Carter's birthday while he was here. The kids and I made a cake, we cooked out and enjoyed watching the kids play! It was a great weekend!
