Big Changes in Ms. Reagan's life as well as Mommy's!!!
Yesterday I was sitting on my bed eating lunch. Reagan and Alex are in bed "sleeping" and Hunter is coloring and watching a show. Suddenly I see these two little feet at the top of the stairs. I know they are too small to be Alex or Hunter's. So...I get up and I see this crazy haired, big blue eyed, happy girl standing at the top of the stairs saying, "Good morning Mommy! I drop my baby. I get out my bed!" I of course could not hold back the laughter. Once I was able to control myself, I immediately began explaining to Reagan how dangerous it is to get out of the bed without help. I put her back in bed and 5 minutes later I see these little feet at the top of the stairs. So...I get up and once again I see this crazy haired, big blue eyed, happy girl standing at the top of the stairs saying, "Good morning Mommy! I get out my bed!"
Instead of fighting the battle at nap time, I took apart the front of her baby bed and Reagan is now in the toddler version of her crib.
Sound asleep!
Well, even though Reagan is so much like her Mommy, last night she did wonderful. We have a video monitor so it was easy to watch her. After I left the room she sat up, reached down to touch the floor. Got out of her bed and walked around. I assume she was checking the new dimensions of her "broken bed" as she calls it. She then crawled back in bed and proceeded to play with her many toys and finally fell asleep.
Then about 4:00am I hear a knocking on her bedroom door. We locked it so that if she did decide to get up she wouldn't fall down the stairs. I go up there and she has turned on all the lights and says, " Good Morning Mommy, I watch Sleeping Beauty now?" I of course told her it was time to go back to bed and she was not happy about that. I changed her diaper and put her down. She began screaming and did so for 35 min...which felt like an eternity! The good news is...she NEVER got out of the bed. So far so good!!!!
Tonight was PERFECT. Reagan climbed in her bed...said Goodnight and is now sound asleep!
For those of you who prayed for us...THANK YOU...it worked!!!
